Woodfield is a Family Recreation and Adventure Park located approximately 30 minutes north of Hobart. Nestled within a sweeping valley of Tasmanian bushlands, this idyllic natural sanctuary provides its visitors with a unique camping experience. You will feel like you are a world away in this safe haven full of wildlife including possums, quolls, wallabies, rabbits, echidnas, bandicoots, birds and frogs. Enjoy the panoramic views of the Tasmanian landscape, take a walk along our bubbling creek or venture further out to the nearby Barren Rock Waterfall.

 

Woodfield Centre is a place where lasting memories are created by families, schools and community groups alike. The Woodfield Camp experience draws visitors back year after year. Woodfield welcomes schools, corporate groups, church and youth groups, Special needs groups, families, holiday makers, sport and recreation groups, tourists, community organisations. Under New Management, Woodfield Centre is looking forward to providing you with your own unique camping experience tailored to suit the needs of your group or family.

The site was built in 1977 for groups of people to participate in a variety of activities while enjoying the bush environment outside of their every day experience. We pride ourselves in providing quality camping at affordable prices. The open countryside, lush forest and mountain streams provide an unsurpassed natural beauty. Woodfield has a warmth and charm that lends itself to all types of groups who come to relax and unwind in the idyllic forest setting. The site is a natural sanctuary for a diverse range of flora and wildlife as the air is filled with the song of the kookaburra. At night without the city lights the nocturnal sky ignites with a myriad of stars and the possums and other furry animals will come out to play including deer, quolls, wallabies, rabbits, echidnas, and bandicoots. Woodfield has seen people from all walks of life stay and enjoy the beautiful, secluded natural bush environment.

Woodfield Centre is a natural haven situated in natural bushland only 1.6km from the Midlands Highway nestled between Bagdad and Kempton on 15 acre property, 6.5 hectares of natural sclerophyll forest, creek, dam and grass lands.  The site is only 30 minutes from Hobart and nearby are great tourist attractions and places of interest.
